PBX Preparing

One of our unique feature it's the largest compatibility range for PBX models. From our experience in 50% of cases you'll have to programm your PBX in order to make it communicate properly with the PC.

PBX Connection with the PC

There are two kinds of connections between a PC and a PBX : the common one - the serial connection (using COM1, COM2, ) and the newer one the TCP/IP network connection. Most PBX's supports only serial connection so you'll need a serial cable.

Serial cables

The serial cable must be as short as possible in order to minimize the possibility of data corruption. Out longest RS232 cable was of 25 meters an we were forced to lower the baudrate to 1200bps in order to eliminate most of the errors.

  * length up to 5 meters
  * cable must be plugged and locked with a screwdriver on both PC and PBX
  * cable type may be different from one pbx to another
